📅 Deadline: August 7, 2026
Are you a youth organisation in West Africa? Ghiyada Africa (Togo) , in partnership with SESG Future Ready Hub (Ghana) , is launching the Call for Projects – Spaces for Youth (West Africa) under the Africa-Europe Youth Academy (AEYA) . This programme is funded by the European Union and implemented by Expertise France in consortium with the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation (AICS) .
The objective is to support youth organisations in developing and strengthening “Spaces for Youth” projects through grants, enabling young people to access safe, inclusive, and empowering environments where they can develop leadership skills, access support services, and scale their initiatives .
What Are “Spaces for Youth”?
“Spaces for Youth” are initiatives designed by and for young people that enable them to develop their leadership potential, express their voices, and access tailored support services . They are safe and inclusive environments where young people can:
- Develop leadership skills
- Access mentorship and support services
- Build entrepreneurial and innovation skills
- Organise community initiatives
- Collaborate and network with peers
- Promote civic engagement and social impact
These spaces may be physical or hybrid initiatives but must be connected to an accessible physical location, such as a youth centre, café, library, co-working space, fablab, social innovation lab, or community hub. They may be permanent or temporary (for example, event-based initiatives).
