KIGALI, Rwanda – UNICEF and the Equity Group Foundation today signed a Strategic Partnership Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) during the Africa CEO Forum in Kigali 2026 to improve opportunities for young people across Africa.
The MOU, which formalizes the ongoing relationship and shared commitment, will focus heavily on teenage girls and young women to develop youth skills, entrepreneurship, and financial inclusion.
The cooperation will provide young people with applicable skills, mentorship, and access to funding, closing the gap between education and meaningful economic involvement. Youth skills in relation to climate routes will receive special attention. “Young people are not only beneficiaries—they are agents of change,” the partners said. The program will bring together governments, the corporate sector, civil society, and youth to catalyze inclusive growth at scale through UNICEF’s Africa Strategy and Public-Corporate-Youth Partnership model.
The alliance invites additional groups to participate in this bold ambition.
